The Bridgeton News as part of NJ.com reported on the arrival yesterday of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt “No Guts, No Glory” to the Millville Army Air Field Museum.  The aircraft, recently purchased by warbird collector Tom Duffy, had been part of the fleet of the Fighter Collection based in Duxford, England up until last year when the aircraft was imported to the United States and offered for sale by Provenance Fighters.

Duffy intends to display the aircraft at the Millville Army Air Field Museum along with the other warbirds in his collection including a Goodyear FG-1D Corsair, North American B-25 Mitchell, Grumman TBM-3E Avenger, and Grumman J2F Widgeon.

The P-47 plays a critical role in the Millville Army Air Museum collection as during WWII about 1500 pilots received advanced fighter training in the P-47 at the base over a period of three years.
